An overview of some of the initial sketches I made at the beginning of this project.
When trying to come up with a “game concept“, I kept finding that my proposals were too niche and not intuitive enough. It was important to remember the brief was targeted at the 5+ age range, hence I took a step back from developing the frisbee niche to reconsider the ease of play for the user.
Progression I made after rethinking my approach to the design brief. This outdoor game has a much clearer goal and objective, aswell as its own niche to give it a unique selling point.
The final prototype model for ‘Hot Potato Shoot ‘ featured a looks-like model of the final game. This included a .5 scale model of the hoop, with the detachable ring that could be attached to the top face of the base for storage, as well as a looks like model for the ‘countdown ball ’.
